Sun, 12 May 2024 19:00:15 -0700WeeblySat, 13 May 2017 07:18:40 GMThttp://jasonmundel.com/blog/comeback-kids-at-crooked-creekBig weights were the order of the day at Crooked Creek Classic.  We were sitting in 26th place after Saturday, but stuck to our gameplan and were rewarded Sunday with a solid move that placed us in second place when the smoke cleared.  Kenny and Travis had 51 pounds going into Sunday leaving us all fighting for second.  Bob and I hit some big fish, including a 33" and a 29" and we ended with a significant lead over third place.  Tiber tournament is next and we are in it to win it! Give me a call if you want to catch some fish, I'll be there starting Wednesday and can stick around for a few days before heading to Fort Peck to start the summer season.  Let's go RIP some LIPPS!]]>Wed, 03 May 2017 15:09:17 GMThttp://jasonmundel.com/blog/tournament-season-begins-at-crooked-creekAfter a solid warm-up result at the Tough Man, the Walleyes Unlimited of Montana circuit begins this weekend for real with my partner Bob Hickey.  The Crooked Creek tournament has traditionally been dubbed "The Fall Classic" and has been held in August.  This years date presents a challenge as most teams have never targeted this end of the lake in May.

Great trophy walleye fishing!  Guided fishing trips on Fort Peck are the best way to learn this body of water.  Fort Peck Reservoir in Montana grow huge walleye and everything else.]]>Mon, 17 Apr 2017 02:57:36 GMThttp://jasonmundel.com/blog/walleye-fishing-on-lower-clark-fork-river-is-hotI spent Saturday fishing for Walleye with a couple of buddies and we found plenty of fish eager to bite.  Conditions are perfect right now, with plenty of fish staging to move up to their spawning grounds.  We landed over 15 fish, ranging from 17-26 inches.  We released several females and kept nine great eating males. My outfitter Mike Howe, of Howe's Fishing/A Able Charters, has an awesome War Eagle jet boat perfect for fishing the river this time of year, so give me a call and lets go fishing!
